SCAMMONDEN INFORMAL EVENT – Wednesday 26^th May 2004

As promised, the sun shone – it was positively tropical for Scammonden. Hope everyone enjoyed their courses – maybe a bit long for some but we tried to offer something for everyone and it was great to see plenty of new-comers. Apologies for the placing of control 66 – mainly due to vegetation changes since the area was originally mapped and control 97 which we discovered to be about 10 metres out (in the wrong re-entrant) when we picked it up. Thanks to Bob for picking up some controls the following day and the permissions from Yorkshire Water and others in the area.

A total of 53 people took part in the event – some alone and others in pairs or groups. Well done the Honley pupils who did more than one course.
