What a scorcher!

Thanks must firstly go to the many landowners who were happy for us to use their delightful woodland. Honley Wood, with its new map, was used to the full with superb planning by Dickie Wren. Thanks to team leaders Graham Booth, Alistair Tinto, Brian Mellor, Sue Brant, Steve Nichols, to the Hodgsons for the idyllic and topical string course and to all who helped before the event and on the day to make things run smoothly.

My style is one of informality and friendliness, which I know doesn't suit you all, but I hope most of you enjoyed the day.

We are having a hitch with the split times and we hope this can be resolved.

Finally, special thanks to Controller Pete Jones and to Mike Pownall for his unsolicited but very welcome help!
