Haw Park Woods Night Event Final details

Saturday, 3rd Febuary 2007

Venue. Waterton Countryside Discovery Centre, Anglers Country Park. Haw Park Lane, Wintersett , Wakefield (GR375153)

The Discovery Centre or Anglers Country Park is signposted (Brown Tourist signs) from Wakefield on both the A638 and the A61 - there will be no other O signs. See sunday event for more details of venue.

Map. 1:10.000 A cracking new map, surveyed over several days in Autumn 2006 by Rod Ryall. Rod reports a slight increase in brambles, but nevertheless a super woodland for novices, with lots of paths and rides and yet very tricky for experts to relocate.

Courses Long, Medium, Short and Introductory Courses

Entry fees Adults £2 Juniors £1

Registration 1700 to 1800

Start Times 1715 to 1815 (or slightly later if it still light) Courses close at 2000

Maps will be overprinted and bagged

Punching: E-punching will not be used at this event!

Safety Competitors take part at their own risk. We are using the 'buddy' system. Make sure you have a reliable buddy who will raise the alarm if you appear to be very late finishing. Lone competitors who cannot find a buddy must leave their Car keys and car registration number at registration
