Storthes Hall Woods Informal Orienteering Event
Date: Wednesday 30th May 2007
Times: Registration
from 6pm till 7pm. Starts from 6.30pm till 7.30pm.
Courses close at 8.30pm.
Car Park: At the football ground at SE 183122. Approach through the University campus, off Storthes Hall Ln, west of Kirkburton.
Terrain: Runnable woodland and open grassland with a few brambly patches. A terrific area to try orienteering. All welcome!
Map: 1:10,000, 5m contours, mapped during Autumn 2006 and recently updated; even so some paths recently made by dog walkers and mountain bikers may not be on the map. x marks mountain bike ramps..
E-punching: Will be used at this event. E-cards are available if you don’t have your own. There is no charge but you will have to reimburse us to the tune of £20 if you lose it. If you haven’t used e-punching before, don’t worry, its easy and will be explained to you before you start.
Results: Your result will be available at the finish and full results will appear on the EPOC web site www.eastpennineoc.org.uk
Refreshments: There may be some refreshments and prizes available.
Toilets: None – sorry.
Dogs: Dogs
on lead welcome.

Norwegian 5.7km for those who want a stretch
