Newmillerdam District Event

The night before the event I was more concerned with the contingencies following the 30mm of rain that was forecast on the weather report that I saw on Saturday evening than anything else. As it happened I need not have worried as the rain in the night seems to have been quite light. However anybody crossing the footbridge on the orange course was asking to get their feet wet! My job as controller was very straightforward as Paul produced some good courses that only needed me to make a few minor suggestions.

Well done to Amanda and the organising team for finding a different start to the normal public car park which allowed a well established area to offer you some new challenges.

It was good to see lots of school children at the champs rather than the usual club juniors. Hopefully there will be even more next year at Graves Park, Sheffield on July 13th 2008.
