LANGFIELD COMMON REGIONAL EVENT

Venue;  6km?  west  of  Halifax  at  Grid ref  SD  961 235    Clarify this for next event. Also link to street map/multimap?      

Parking;  Signed  from  the  A 646  at  Grid ref  SD  951 247   

Maps; 1:10,000 waterproof and pre-marked whilst stocks last, after which a Master Map system will be used.

Control Descriptions; Printed on the pre-marked maps and also available loose at Enquiries.

Start;

• Courses 1 to 6 -  Red Start - 2km from car park, a mini-bus service will be operated to take competitors to this Start boarding near the car park entrance.
• Courses 7 to 12 – Blue Start – 400m, leave car park through small gate at south east corner.

Finish; Roughly 400m from the car park and the download station.

E-Punching; The sport ident ( SI ) system will be used,  e-cards (dibbers ) are available for hire at Registration.

Start Times; 10.30 to 12.30,courses close at 15.00 ( Note; a punching start system is being used. )

Parking;  Parking Fee £1.00 per car , Access is single lane so competitors should not leave before 12.30
                         Parking space is limited so please share transport wherever possible.

Dogs; The restriction on dogs has been specified in the BOF fixture list and on the event flyer, should you have
                          brought your dog please keep it on a lead close to your vehicle.       

Safety; Competitors take part at their own risk.  This is an exposed moorland area and we would recommend        
                         carrying whistles and also cagoules if the weather is at all unsettled.   Lone travellers should use
                         the‘buddy’ system to raise the alarm if they go missing and also leave their car keys at Enquiries.

Toilets; Portaloos are available in the Registration / Download area.

String Course    Fairly close to the Parking area , follow signs from Registration.

EOD; From 0930 to 1130    Select course from the list below. Fill in Entry Form. ( If necessary hire an e-card  
                          and add the number to the Entry Form ). Take the Form with the Entry Fee to Registration. Go to the Start.
                         
NB; We are using a punching start system and individual start times are therefore not being issued.
