First of all apologies for the bizarre results slips you received when you
finished and thank you everyone for taking it in good spirits.
Now the explanation! We rather foolishly had not fully changed the details
from our test event which took place in Graham Booths front room to the actual
event details for the real Royds Hall event. Even though we have only just
got this software, the event in Graham’s front room went perfectly
so we didn’t expect problems at Royds Hall. Whilst we corrected most
of the errors at the event , one thing eluded us till we got home. This was
the fact that we hadn’t changed the allowed times from 2 and 5 minutes
to 45 and 60 respectively. As no-one was fast enough to do the courses in
under 5 minutes, you all got penalties.
I will be going through the results in more detail later today and will
publish any corrections to the web tonight. If anyone doesn’t agree
with their results on the web then contact me

P.S. Graham and I will be creating an O-Tech sheet on how to use the OEScore
software and if anyone is interested, I can forward a copy on so you don’t
make the same mistakes. Apart from our errors the software seemed to work
well and is similar to the standard Sportident software.
