Jerusalem Farm (Low Key) Informal Orienteering Event
Date: Wednesday 7th May 2008
Times: Registration
from 5.45pm till 7pm. Starts from 6pm till 7.15pm.
Courses close at 8.00pm.
Car Park: GR SE 037 278
Terrain: Small, intricate woodland.
E-punching: Will be used at this event. E-cards are available if you don’t have your own. There is no charge but you will have to reimburse us to the tune of £20 if you lose it. If you haven’t used e-punching before, don’t worry, its easy and will be explained to you before you start.
Results: Your result may be available at the finish, full results will appear on the EPOC web site www.eastpennineoc.org.uk
Toilets: Public toilets are available.
Dogs: As this is sheep country, fine in the carpark and in Jerusalem Farm Wood, so not in the fields on the longer courses.
Fees: Adults £2, Juniors/Students £1
Courses: 2 and half courses.
Course 1 for Novices /improvers similar to a long Yellow standard course,
with
line features to follow and checpoints at crucial decision making points.
Courses 2 and 2 1/2: For experienced / improving orienteers. Back to
back maps
so choose to do some for course 2 or all for course 3. Try to Navigate
around
the wood without any paths , or any of the Holly bushes on your map.
Visit up to 25 controls in any order you like! The fastest wins.
