Firstly, I hope you all enjoyed your courses despite last minute fences appearing in the area, campers in the forest and the uphill start!  The comments I heard were very positive which is reassuring.

Thanks to Dave for his constructive advice and to Amanda for her help too.  Thanks also to Dad for joining me on visits to the area and David for carrying the kites, stakes and boxes yesterday.  Thanks to Dave, Brian, Bob and Dickie for collecting nearly all the controls in today, leaving very few for me to do!

In terms of the courses I tried to keep Green, Blue and Brown different so that people did not end up simply following others round – I think the different courses worked well and gave variety.  I also hope there were some reasonable route choices especially on the longer legs.  I hope the other courses had appropriate controls and route choices too.

I was glad at 6am that the weather had cleared up having got very wet yesterday going through the undergrowth.  Luckily it wasn’t too hot and it was fairly ideal for running.
