Oakwell Hall Sprint (Loop) Race and Picnic
Sunday 28th June 2009

Times:
Registration from 10 am
Starts at 11.00 am
Courses close at 12.30 pm
Picnic from noon or whenever you’re hungry!

Members of other clubs are most welcome at this event!

Car Park: At Oakwell Hall Countryside Centre SE213268 off A652 Bradford to Batley road.

Terrain: Grassland and runnable woodland around the ancient hall, with some contour detail and good path network. Assembly in a large grassy field with good views of the courses. Please bring a picnic. EPOC and non-EPOC picnickers all very welcome!

Map:               1:5,000, 5m contours.

E-punching:     Will be used at this event. E-cards are available if you don’t have your own.

Results:          Your result will be available at the finish and full results will appear on the EPOC web site.

Toilets:
Yes, please use public toilets in the area.

Fees:               £5 senior. £2 junior.

Courses:
White 1.5 km and Yellow 2.5 km. Easy navigation
These will be available from 10:30 am with start times at 1 minute intervals.

Then there will be the following courses:
Short Loop with moderate to hard navigation, about 3.1 km
Medium Loop with hard navigation, about 4.2 km
Long Loop with hard navigation about 5.5 km

Competitors will each receive a map. They will have to visit a certain number of controls, in any order. They then return to the start and collect part 2 of their course. Again they visit a certain number of controls in any order and
then return to the finish. Each course will have a staggered mass start. And if sufficiant demand, we will run a split mass start.
Course lengths are based on optimal route!
