Car Park. SE332158 Signed from the A61 Wakefield to Barnsley road south of Wakefield. Parking will be a combination of the Public Car Park (Pay & Display) where priority will be given to minibuses and vehicles with small children and a free overflow car park on School Hill which is only 5 minutes walk from registration.

Travel Directions from M1 Exit 39. Avoids ASDA!
Leave exit 39 in the Wakefield direction and at the first roundabout turn right signposted Durkar and Crigglestone then turn almost immediately right signposted Crigglestone & Chapelthorpe. Follow the road uphill and go straight on at the next crossroads (Redcats building on your left). Follow the road down a dip and up to a T junction but you have priority bearing left..
Straight over the roundabout and follow the road then just after it turns right the School Hill car park is on your right

Terrain. Beautiful, runnable mixed woodland around Newmillerdam with contour detail, point features and an extensive path network. Pleasurable orienteering for all abilities.

Courses White to Brown.  Please note there will be no string course.

Registration 10.00 to 12.00

Starts 10.30 to 12.30 - Courses Close at 2.30.

SI electronic punching will be used. SI dibber hire £1

Public Toilets on opposite side of the dam, adjacent to the entrance to the woods.
Dogs on leads are welcome.
The area is very popular with the general public. Please be courteous and give way to pedestrians. 
Brown and blue courses cross the top of the lake. Please keep within the barriers and do not run on the road. 

Safety Competitors take part at their own risk. We are using the 'Buddy' system. Make sure you have a reliable buddy who will raise the alarm. If you appear to be very late finishing. Lone competitors who cannot find a buddy must leave their car keys and car registration number at the information and enquiries desk.
