Organiser’s comments

When Marsden was cancelled it was decided to replace it with Newmillerdam and I volunteered to be the organizer then realized I would be away in Australia for a month just before the event. So apart from getting permission to use the wood, getting the School Hill car park opened on the day and giving Alistair a list of suggested helpers those were my only contributions. Alistair and Bob between them had collected all the necessary equipment from the store and assembled the helpers teams.
So on the day I had the relatively easy job of just ensuring everything and everybody was in the right place. We’re sorry the faulty start box caused problems but thank everyone who came. We’re amazed at the distances some people travelled – some runners, seemingly, can’t do with their weekly orienteering ‘fix!
