Local Night Event            YHOA Night League Series Finale

Castle Carr           Saturday 13th  February 2010

Car Park Signed from Wainstalls GR SE 047283 
It is recommended to approach Wainstalls from the direction of Pellon Lane/Pellon New Road in Halifax. To reach assembly area and car park you will need to pass through the gatehouse at the end of Castle Carr Road.  The gate you have to open to get onto the area must be closed behind you.

Terrain Attractive wooded valley with open areas. The area is part of the private Castle Carr Estate which includes landscaped gardens, the remnants of it's demolished mansion and moorland.

Map New 2009 map.   All maps will be waterproof and overprinted.

Electronic Punching  SI punching will be used.

Courses Long, Medium, Short and Introductory Courses.

Entry fees Adults £5    Students (with card) & Juniors   £2.00

Registration 1700 to 1800  

Start Times 1730 to 1830 (depending on when it gets dark enough. Sunset is 17:12)

Courses Close at 2000. 

Download is in the car park.

On site toilets - none.

Dogs Sorry not at all, this is a working sheep farm.

Safety Competitors take part at their own risk. Whistles advised and cagoules may be compulsory depending on the weather. We are using the 'buddy' system. Make sure you have a reliable buddy who will raise the alarm if you appear to be very late finishing. Lone competitors who cannot find a buddy must leave their car keys and car registration number at registration.
