Regional Urban Orienteering Event

This was EPOC's first urban event! And the first event that I've organised that had a fun fair to complicate matters. As it happened there were advantages to sharing the day with the Round Table, not least the excellent car parking area.

Thanks go above all to Alistair for planning enjoyable courses around the gala. Thanks also to Dave Peel for first agreeing to control, then instead to agreeing to map the area for us, leaving Richard Payne to step in as Controller - thanks Richard. It was really good to have plenty of willing volunteers from EPOC and I'm grateful to all! Running Results is the job that I would never dare do, but Stephen Hughes' team were in perfect control.

A final big thank you to all who competed today. It was great to hear positive comments from many of you. Holmfirth has proved itself an interesting addition to EPOC's portfolio and we look forward to welcoming you all back soon.
