Directions; Take Bradford rd out of Huddersfield. Go through Fartown and across two roundabouts. After crossing the M62, take the next right ( Woodhouse Lane ) and then immediately right and follow the lane to Bradley Wood Scout Camp.

Registration from 6.15pm.
Starts are between 6.30 and 7.30.

The event is aimed at beginners and improvers (particularly children), although there will be a medium length technical course for more experienced orienteers.
Fees are £3 for a family, £2 for Adults and £1 for children. Extra courses are free.

Martin's post event comments:

"Well done to the 20 or so who turned out to the 'Come and try event' at Bradley Wood. There was a full range of courses on offer, and rather confusingly for the regular orienteer we reverted to master maps in order to give some practice to reading the significance of the control description and allow more than one course to be completed. There was also a mixture of SI punching and permanent markers on each course to save time putting out and keep competiors on their toes.

A special thanks to Viv and Allister for helping coach and congratulations to the Claytons and the 7th Elland Scouts who took up the challenge for the first time with such enthusiasm."
