Comment by Kathryn Willis of PFO. Submitted at 14:58 on Tuesday 23-Dec-2008. SUBJECT: Shoes My 1st ever Green Course so I was pleased just to get around! I realised that this also mean't it was a longer course than I'm used to but it wasn't too bad - must be getting a bit fitter or perhaps I was so slow navigating I wasn't rushing! Many thanks for providing an escape from the pre Christmas preparations. On the shoe front I had my trail shoes that have been fine for most things I've done so far but I really would have liked the cross country shoes that Santa should be bringing me soon... :) |

Comment by Sheila Smith of CLARO. Submitted at 12:51 on Tuesday 23-Dec-2008. SUBJECT: Green course It was my first time back on Green after a fairly long illness. Therefore I thought it was my lack of stamina that made it seem so physically tough. Pleased to see it wasn't just me. Shame about the weather but I always enjoy having a walk/jog/slip round Honley Woods! Thank you everyone involved in the planning and organisation. |

Comment by Simon C of Ebor. Submitted at 12:07 on Monday 22-Dec-2008. SUBJECT: Course lengths "No one complained that these were too short" That's because it didn't matter to me enough to mention it. But now you bring it up - the Brown course seemed too short to me :-) Well done to the planners on coming up with some route choice decisions, can't have been easy on such a long and narrow area. |

Comment by Alan Heron of Seloc. Submitted at 11:48 on Monday 22-Dec-2008. I fell down the steep slope near control 6 on the Green course.Eventually I arrived at the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary by ambulance and tests confirmed that I was O.K. except for bruising. My head injury although looking bad was only superficial. I would like to thank all concerned in helping me especially those who gave up their runs. Very many thanks from Fran and myself for everything Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year Alan |

Comment by Dave Skidmore of DVO. Submitted at 18:03 on Sunday 21-Dec-2008. SUBJECT: Honley Very much appreciated you all putting an event on at this time of year. I ran the Green and I thought it was very well planned although perhaps just a little too long/steep. Thank you. |

Comment by Anthony G of EPOC. Submitted at 12:49 on Sunday 21-Dec-2008. SUBJECT: My Run! Having dished out all the entry slips at the gate, I eagerly donned my Walshes ready to run. However I soon found out that I had left everything else at home -dibber-compass-specs-money-lunch. So I went home and had a run around Ogden Reservoir! How did you go on? |
