Thanks PG for the fine tuning observations.

Glad you enjoyed your run.

Wasn't sure with the description on 109 and initially had put a crag as purple pen did'nt seem to have a full range of possible descriptors but eventually settled on earth wall rather than earth bank as the nearest. Whilst purple pen is very easy to use in some respects it does have its limitations and doing a 2 part course was beyond its functionality so required quite a bit of creativity to get part 1 and 2.

Regards

Alistair

SUBJECT:   Route Gadget
Go to Route Gadget, select Brown, select Andy Thorpe and Charlie Adams, Mass Start, Animation, Names on, Start.
Watch them race around, taking different routes and finishing within a minute of each other!

I enjoyed my run yesterday.  It's a challenge to fit a brown course into a small area without excessive repetition; the planner did well.  The wood is great to run in and the early weather was a bonus.

A couple of minor issues.  They didn't spoil my run, my comments are more for future reference.  There is a separate IOF control description (a smiley crag) for earth slope (109).  The circle for the reentrant at 93 (green and blue) hid another reentrant and the line between 3 and 4 on brown hid a path.  I know time often runs out for the planner before you get a chance to check these, but it is worth trying to find a few extra minutes if possible.

SUBJECT:   Uncrossable Stream
I went for the 'direct' approach and also ended up waist deep in goo. I'd like to blame the whole of my poor performance on this one leg, but unfortunately that would not be true....

Sorry about that.  Very brave to keep going. I'd have chickened out a knee level.

You're right - should have made the lines go over the bridge and its only local knowledge that knows it's a bit of a swamp in there.

Glad you enjoyed the rest of your course

SUBJECT:   Uncrossable Stream
Nice forest, good Brown course. Only one comment - perhaps the 'hard to cross' stream should be mapped as uncrossable, as it was to my mind - my attempt to cross going from control 101 to 102 ended with me up to my waist in thick mud. The connecting control line should have also been bent, as by being straight this indicates the straight line route is feasible. Otherwise well planned to my mind.

Lovely morning early on. Brilliant runnable woodland! Excellent Light Green. Perfect. Especially for those who punched the left hand start box!
